Libby has been a member of our club since 2018. Originally from Hamilton, she is a powerful centre-forward who has captained many of our clubs sides including the Senior Women in 2019. She has represented multiple New Zealand Youth and Junior sides travelling with both to Youth Worlds in Serbia and Junior Worlds in Portgual. Libby is a NZ Senior Representative and travelled to the 2019 FINA World Championships in Gwangju as well as World League Inter-contentital in Perth. As a player she has won multiple MVP awards as well as winning Gold with our U16 Tridents at Nationals in 2018 and being named in the National League tournament team in 2019. Libby is currently playing for Michigan in the NCAA Competition.
Morgan joined Atlantis in 2020. Since her arrival she has made a major impact on the club, a powerful right-handed driver/centre forward she has made her presence felt. She was the top goal scorer of the NZ Senior Championships last year when she led our team to the Silver Medal. She also was a part of the U18 Tridents team that won Silver In Christchurch. Morgan has attended multiple world youth and Junior Championships. She is a key member of the New Zealand Senior side and attended Gwangju in 2019 as well as a FINA World Cup. Morgan has signed to join the University of Hawaii later in 2021.
Gabby is currently on loan from Waitakere. A product of Saint Kentigern College in Auckland where she spent six seasons in their premier team. Gabby has represented New Zealand in every age group from U15 to Senior. She has attended two Junior World Championships and has toured Australia twice with the NZ Senior Women. She was a part of the Auckland Gulls team which won the inaugural Premier League in 2020. Gabby is currently studying towards her Bachelor of Nutrition and Masters in Dietetics.
Emmerson is on loan from Waitakere. Emmerson hails from Hamilton and has been a New Zealand representative for many years. Emmerson is a key member of the NZ Senior Women’s team. Emmerson has attended a Youth Worlds, 2x Junior Worlds, Senior Worlds and FINA World Cup. She was a part of the Auckland Gulls team which won the inaugural Premier League in 2020. She is currently on hiatus from her Professional Contract with Ethnikos in Greece due to Covid. Emmerson is both a centre back and a wing option.
Sam is our Women’s Goalkeeper. She has been a member at Atlantis since 2020. Sam has played for numerous Age-Group teams including the New Zealand Schoolgirls. Sam was a part of the Women’s team that won Silver at NZ Seniors in 2020 playing every minute of the tournament. Sam is currently studying at the University of Auckland.
Issy has been with the club since its inception. Issy is a fearless Centre-Back who is renowned for her defence and her long reach. Issy has been a part of multiple New Zealand teams, including the 2019 Youth European Tour and the New Zealand Schoolgirls. Issy has been a part of our women’s team for the previous three seasons. Issy is currently in her final year of study at Diocesan School for Girls.
Millie, originally from Tauranga is a right-handed driver. A fast and agile athlete, Millie was named MVP of U16 Nationals in both 2019 & 2020. She has been a part of our Women’s team for the past three seasons. Millie travelled with the NZ youth team on their European tour and the New Zealand Schoolgirls. Millie Is currently in Year 12 at Diocesan.
Ella Palmer is a Centre-Forward who has played for both the NZ Schoolgirls and toured Australia with a NZ Youth side. Ella has been a part of our Women’s team for three years and was a part of the U16 side that won Nationals in 2018 & 2019. Ella is currently in Year 13 at Saint Cuthbert’s college.
Sophie Shorter Robinson
Sophie is a foundation member of the club. She has represented the club at all age groups from U14-Senior Women. She has won three National titles with Atlantis, an U14 and two U16, along with a host of other medals. Sophie has represented the New Zealand Schoolgirls and attended her first World Championships at the U20 Level in 2019 whilst still an U16. She is a strong centre forward with a lethal backhand. Sophie is currently in Year 13 at Dio.
Isabella hails from Tauranga and joined the club in 2018, where she was a part of the group that won back-to-back U16 titles in 2018 & 19. She has since made her debut for the clubs Senior Women’s side. Isabella has played for the NZ Youth development side. She was a part of the Auckland Gulls team which won the inaugural Premier League in 2020. Bella is a right-handed driver who has an exceptional outside shot. She is currently in Year 13 at Diocesan.
Angie Winstanley – Smith
Angie certainly keeps the age average of our National League team a little higher. Angie was a proud member of Team GB at the London Olympics in 2012 an had a professional career spanning 10 years across 4 different countries with numerous National Titles. She played in 15 Champions Leagues with her last being for Mataro, Barcelona in 2015. Angie played in numerous World and European Championships coming second in the European Junior Championships top scorers list way back in 2004 and was award with the tournament MVP of her last international tournament representing Team England in the Commonwealth games in 2014.
Maddy was a member of the New Zealand Youth Born 2002 squad for four years until unfortunately COVID stopped the squad from heading to the World Championships. Maddy did get to wear the fern on the European tour to France and Greece scoring goals against Greece, Hungary and France along the way. Maddy has just finished at Diocesan and was a key member of their title winning team.
Shinae comes to us from Mount Maunganui and was at Diocesan School for Girls for her final 2 years of school. Here, Shinae won several National and Regional titles. Shinae has amassed a truck load of experience representing New Zealand at the World Youth Championships in 2018, the World Junior Championships in 2017 and 2019 and playing at the top level for the Senior National team at the FINA World Championships and World League Championships. Shinae currently resides in the USA playing for Marist College and will play for Atlantis upon her return.
Jess Shorter Robinson
Jess returned to Atlantis at the beginning of the 2021 season. Jess was a member of the Dio Prems for 3 season and won National and Regional titles during her time there. Jess has represented the New Zealand Junior Development Squad in the Aussie State Championships in 2019 and was member of the Penguin Premier League Team.
